The Management of lubrication is a subject that in reality is not understood. It would be true to say that the whole subject of lubrication is a subject that the majority of end users do not understand. Despite the numerous case studies on the potential savings that can be achieved the majority of companies have not taken advantage of what is available. SFR was formed in the USA in the early 1980's in the state of Montana. Its expertise then is what it is now, the formulation of advanced lubrication technology. In the main this was for the extreme climates of Montana, but with success it quickly spread and SFR developed not only in the USA but also through out the world. As we move into the new millennium SFR continues to develop new technologies and packages these in various forms for a variety of clients far and wide, the majority a long way from Montana. SFR GB Ltd began marketing these technologies in the early 1990's and very quickly began to see the savings that could be achieved from improving the existing oil. This early work led the Managing Director of the company Tim Atkin to begin researching the whole subject of savings in the area of lubrication. The results of this research are as they say history and the impact of them has changed the way many companies view the subject of lubrication. The success of the majority of ideas and new procedures lies in its simplicity and why should oil be any different. It became apparent to Tim Atkin that the key elements that affect lubrication are controlled by different factors, all these factors have to be addressed at different levels of intensity to achieve the levels of success possible. Some of the most important issues involved do not appear to be directly connected to lubrication itself. They are subtle, but when understood they are simple and when implemented very effective. "Myth and Mythology" surrounds lubrication, it is time to break through this and unlock the hidden potential in you plant. Remember it is your equipment, your company, your staff, you are responsible for profit and loss, take true ownership and unlock the hidden costs currently within your business.
