Des-Case disposable hygroscopic breathers are manufactured in five sizes, DC-1, DC-2, DC-3, DC-4 and DC-6 to accommodate different mounting space requirements. All five models are rated for 20 cfm of air in and out of the tank or reservoir (the equivalent of 150 gpm fluid level change in the tank). |
Des-Case breathers proactively prevent ingression of water and particulate contamination through the breather vent by combining the use of two well-known technologies: filtration and desiccant (drying media). The 3-micron filter element prevents particulate entry and the desiccant creates relative humidity levels in the headspace, which make condensation unlikely.
Des-Case breathers can be used on any reservoir, tank, cabinet, or piece of equipment that breathes in and expels air, and where water or dirt in that air would be detrimental to the contents or operation. Suggested applications include:
